- • Will this under-seat Stealthbox fit into a Ford Super Duty SuperCab (Extended Cab)?
No. This enclosure is contour-molded strictly to fit the larger under-seat floor geometry of 2017-Up Ford F-250 / F-350 Crew Cab models. It will not physically clear an extended cab layout.
- • What factory truck components must be removed from under the rear seat before installation?
You must completely unbolt and permanently remove the collapsible factory under-seat plastic storage tray and the OEM subwoofer assembly to allow the large fiberglass shell to drop down flush.
- • Why does the bottom of my rear seat cushion rub hard against the top of the box?
This occurs if the provided metal seat lift spacer brackets are omitted during installation. You must install these spacers to slightly raise the rear seat assembly for proper clearance over the 13.5-inch driver.
- • What final wiring load impedance does this massive 13.5-inch box present to an amp?
The enclosure features a premium 13TW5v2-2 thin-line subwoofer pre-wired to the external connection cup, presenting a single 2-ohm mono load to your amplifier.
- • What is the continuous RMS power requirement to safely drive this premium thin-line sub?
The high-excursion 13TW5v2 driver is rated for 600 watts continuous RMS power. For optimal headroom and clean performance, pair the box with a high-end monoblock amp pushing 500W to 600W RMS at 2 ohms.
- • Does installing this low-profile enclosure limit the rear seat folding or flip-up functionality?
No. Thanks to the precise molding and the included seat spacers, your rear seats will still comfortably lock down into place for passengers and flip up fully against the back wall exactly like stock.
- • Why does the sub-bass output seem severely muted or clip quickly at higher volumes?
The factory Ford Sync head unit rolls off low frequencies heavily at upper volumes to prevent damage to small stock speakers. You must deploy an active integration interface (such as a PAC AmpPro) to clear up the signal.
- • Why am I hearing a severe vibration or metal rattle from the back floor during bass drops?
The intense energy of the 13.5-inch driver can cause loose seat belt anchors or the floor pan to resonate. Placing the enclosure tightly over a sheet of butyl sound-damping material completely eliminates the rattle.
